I bought a red Hoya 77 filter for my Sony H9 Cybershot camera. When I move the "night shot" switch up, just a hair, it takes it out of night shot mode but the IR filter over the sensor stays out of the way. This allows me to take InfraRed pictures. Here are a few shots that I took the other night.

Do you guys have any ideas about how I should set the white balance? I know that if I use B&W that I should set the white balance on some nice green grass to get the snowy effect on vegetation. What do you think about the color infrared?

You're right. They do look soft. I'll have to look in to why that is happening. The last one would look soft since it was a 3 second exposure. The first two should have been quick enough though. Hmmm.
