My latest attempt. C&C please!

I prefer the black and white image. Maybe a tad less dead space above her head and it would have been great to get a little more light in her eyes but with the lighting and her looking down at the keys it still looks good. Nicely done.

I prefer the color shot. The black and white is lacking a little in contrast. It's a delicate balance. Too much contrast and it will look too stark. Not enough contrast and it looks flat.

The color one is nice, but I really love the B&W. Perhaps burn in her left arm a bit on the B&W to bring out a little more detail. Nice job!

Beautiful, I like the BW shot. To be picky, I think moving toward her back and capturing her hands on the piano might be better, since right now 1/4 of the pic is black with her hands cut off. Other than that, very very nice lighting.

Good shots - quite well processed.

Seems to me that "piano" is really about the hands and keyboard. It might have been worthwhile to choose a different shooting angle (if possible) to convey the playing of the instrument.

I like the B/W conversion, but I would have liked to see a bit more of the hands, and possibly even the keys...

I tried a tighter crop but didn't like it. The space above was left for the music to flow up through the hall.

Eyes in the shadow were also my concern. The light was high above her and somewhat flat. I took away some contrast in both pictures and it helped a bit. With less contrast I managed to get more 3D look of her arm too but lost a bit of drama overall.

I tried to involve the hands in an equivalent situation but pictures didn't look very interesting. Perhaps, without the hands there is more left for an active involvement in the picture.
Apart from gentle white balance correction and sharpness at 5, that was all I did in Canon DPP. Neutral picture style worked best for me. I still have to learn some photoshop workflow to do what you guys nicely suggested.

Thanks for your replies! I'm waiting for more!
