A peculiarity of this forum is that the more images you post for critique, the less comments you will get. Most people working this street are willing to put some effort into a critique if it's really good or really bad, but very few want to go to all that trouble for more than a couple of shots. Narrowing it down to the one or two images on which you need a critique would help.

I was greatly impressed by the first shot. Great level of interest, very good composition, exposure and color balance. Your picture is very 3-dimensional, and the subject is nicely isolated from any distracting background.

Thanks Robert, thinking about it I should have limited it in the CC section to a couple of shots. which for me would have been 1, 3 and 5.

Thanks again
Carl

1. The composition is great, but I'm not diggin on the PP DoF.

3. I love the angle and the expression. I would forget about the sky, and bring out more detail in the giraffe. He's a little underexposed. Lens flare doesn't really bother me.

5. Very nice capture, again not diggin on the PP DoF. Could use an exposure boost to bring the tigers closer to white.

#1 is very nice, especially the composition. The others have too much of a snapshot "feeling" for me.

Here's a couple of edits I did with the goat and tiger. You exposed for the sky in each which left your subjects a little dark. A little channel blending, and we can bring out the animals as well as bringing in more detail to the sky.

Hope you like em!

thanks for the feedback, Im not used to shooting animals and it was a matter of grabbing these as I drove around and entertained my son a bit. but not making excuses, the feedback is exactly what I was after.
Im not used to shooting with y larger lens so I thought the aperture I choose would help the look , but it was too narrow even at 200mm so I will remember that for future.

The pp I will take another look at and thanks for the edits Leuce Deuce I was worried about blowing the sky out to much that I didnt do justice to the subject.

Thanks again
Carl

Most folks don't think of this:

Image #1, flip it so the goat is on the left, it'll make a big difference, make it more dramatic.

In the West our eyes "read" a photograph from upper left, same as a book.
