Anyone know a quick and easy RAW conversion tool thats freeware? Im at work and we dont have PS and I forgot and shot a bunch of pics for the web in RAW! :(

"Raw Shooter Essential" supports RAW from your Rebel XT.

Try Canon Digital Photo Professional, it came with your camera and is designed specifically for Canon RAW files. It is a pretty darn good converter/basic editor.

you can use the image processor in cs3 if you have it.

The OP stated that he is at work and they don't have photoshop available.

There is the sticky that covers RAW and would provide you with a solution.

I think the OP found his solution with the first post... I believe his need was to have a RAW converter quick because he was in a bind without his software CD's from Canon or access to Photoshop. All were valid suggestions for a free converter, just not for the situation he was in.


EDIT: (Beat me by THAT much!) Guess Sheldon has quicker fingers than I.

Agreed, but on a side note, you can download DPP from Canon's website.

Only if you have previous version, zoombrowser, or some other software already installed.

thats true but you can just edit the reg. thats what i had to do i lost my cd and reinstalled windows.
