Tube Anemones- Cerianthus sp.

These are some tube anemones, Cerianthus sp. It is a sea anemone that lives in a tube that is buried in the substrate, usually sand or mud. If they get spooked, they will pull into the tube for protection. This tank can be very relaxing to watch as the tentacles sway back and forth in the current. It is almost like a lava lamp.

Good looking tube anemones! I've never kept them myself, but they're pretty neat. I miss my rose.

They are not too difficult to keep. They require a lot of food as they are not photosynthetic like a rose anemone. Also, different species will sting and kill each other if kept together.
