View Full Version : United States Navy ship taken at sunrise from the Flight deck of the USS Roosevelt

I am in the Navy and This was taken this morning, while out to sea on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt, (CVN-71)

Enjoy, comments welcome, not my normal fortay but i had to try thanks

Who was that, the Supply? They just refuled us yesterday. I think I have a few shots of you guys on my card taken with the 100-400 and 2x extender.

You sure that was taken this morning? I was just out there and it looks bad out there.. ;) You guys must still be in the same OP area. we detached and heading north for our sink-ex... Thats why I have the 2x extender right now. Trying to get a shot of impact when we shoot..

that was the supply yes, and whe i said this morning, i work nights, so it awas actually the morning of the day before, lol, sorry, would love to see some of your shots with the 100-400 and 2x hoopeswk@cvn71.navy.mil

Beautiful pic.. I always thought that sunrise was the payoff for working nights.

Great shot. I miss the open ocean sunrises and sunsets. I've got a couple pics of the Roosevelt from the other side of a refueler from O-4 level of the USS Shreveport from a few years back. It's a beautiful ship.

There sure seem to be a lot of Unrep shots popping up here of late. I recently spent five days on the USNS Rainier during a Tiger Cruise. I was the guest of the ship's Medical Services Officer.

Hey by the way, what kind of ship is the 10th image on page one. White with nearly total slab sides? I've seen them coming and going out of SF Bay whenever I get a chance to visit the GG Bridge but I've no idea what they do or carry?
