Hey everyone I'm new to this site. I got a Canon 30D as a gift about 4 months ago and I love it. I'm still learning out to use it but i'd love to hear comments. I took these out at a local car club that I've been doing some shooting for. Motoman is my screen name over on a couple of auto sites so that's where that came from. Let me know what you think.

Welcome to the forum, beautiful pics of beautiful cars. Unfortunately it seems like you shot these during the middle of the afternoon due to the harsh lighting. You're going to fall even more in love with that 30D the more you use it

Thank you my friend, I'm soo happy to have found a forum that has everything you could think of. This car meet is put on every sunday afternoon by a local car club and that day I had gotten out there around 5:30, so yes the light situation was horrible. That's been my biggest struggle is knowing how to shoot in what type of light im in. There will be many more pics to come of these nice cars. This meet is considered the "mature meet" and features all the high end cars.

You have a new A5 and a new S5 sitting right next to each other. We totalled up the amount of luxury and exotic cars that show up to this meet and it came up to right under 6.2 mil when he had 181 cars out there. 5 of cars that show up on a regular basis are all 1000+ horsepower cars that have joined the 200 club (which is actually the 200mph club).

Great cars in pretty good light, but too many of them! IMAGE POSTING RULES (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74718) only allow 8 embedded pics by the OP per thread, so I removed the IMG tags from the last ones. You can always just post a link to them, though.

They're just over the pics "1024 pixels or smaller" rule, too, but I'm going to let you slide on that this time.

The idea behind the paint scheme goes along with the nick name for the 03+ Cobras, which is the Terminator. So if you think about in the move the terminator when his face was half way torn off and all you saw was the mechanical skeleton that's where the idea came from.
