40D + Minolta 5400HS flash?

I have an unused Minolta 5400HS flash and Canon 40D.
I like to use 5400HS off-camera via "eBay" triggers, could i do it somehow?
What kind of accessories do i have to buy?

That has the oddball Minolta hotshoe and CO(OC?) connector, correct?

If you know soldering skills you may be able to add in a sync port of some sort also.

Or it looks like B&H has a Minolta section with many of the adapters.

In the above link, there is a picture of 5600HS. My 5400HS has the same connectors. In that link, they used PW's, but i like to try with "eBay" low budget triggers. Could i do it?

It can be done. Anything can be done, it is only a question of whether or not it is feasible :lol: . I would email Lon at flashzebra.com and see if he has something or could make you up something to adapt it over to whatever the triggers use. He is a great guy and provide unbelievable service and has great knowledge on this connector stuff. I have purchased from him before and will probably be placing another order with him this weekend. Any help I could give you would be purely speculative and more than likely wrong. :confused:

The answers that Lon give on the website are usually a bit vague, as he is very respectful of POTN and is careful not to break the no-advertising rule on POTN. I can brag him up though. :lol:

I contacted to Lon, unfortunally he doesn't have an material to do that adapter for me right now. These old Minolta cables are quite difficult to find(CD and OC-cables).

I have used my 5400HS with my 30D, but I already have the connecting cables. It works fine, manual flash only.
