I've been wanting to try and get the 'coming out of the shadows' kind of look that you see in ads. I had a couple of new bike parts laying around, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Unfortunately the glass table I was shooting on caused a double reflection due to the thickness of the glass, but I tried to minimize that as much as possible in PP. I'm sort of thinking of placing a piece of glass over some canvas and shining a light up through the bottom next time. I'm hoping that will keep the double reflection from happening.

I would post the setup, but it's nothing special. Tripod, glass table, and two LED flashlights.

What do you think?

I think they are cool, I especially like the second one. I like what you did with the flashlights to make them luminous; such a contrast to the dark background. I would think such a set up would be fun to play with. My inclination would be to try it with a living subject, like flowers, because of the luminosity, but that's just me. It would be cool to see more posts.

Interesting.. I'd quite like the second one if it was a bit sharper - took me a while to figure out what the first shot was of, it's quite an abstract thing to look at at first. You have some good ideas!
