Highlights, IMHO:
* SE will be discontinued.
* LE will support the same cameras as Pro version.
* All C1 SE owners will get C1 SE 3.6.x for free, and then be converted to C1 PRO in the Spring at no additional cost.
* V3.6.x Camera Support
The following RAW file formats are planned to be supported in the V3.6 or V3.6.1 free updates of C1-LE/SE/Pro
*new
Canon
1Ds
1DsMkII*
1D
1DMkII
20D*
300D/Digital Rebel/Kiss
10D
D60
D30
Pro1*
G2/3/5*
Of course the unanswered question is: WHEN?
I'd love to know....
Oh, I never noticed this before: "10% discount available to NAPP Members on Full C1 Purchases." When purchased from rawworkflow.com: http://www.pictureflow.com/products/c1_upgrades/index.html
And note that they don't list SE on that page...

Ah, finally support for the Powershot Pro1, G2, G3 and G5. That's one of those features they've been talking about for a LONG time.
But why just those Powershots - why not the G6, S30, S40, S50, S60, S70?
And I hope they've finally fixed some of the bugs.....

So. as an SE owner.. I will eventually get the Pro version for free?
Or are they going to nick me for the upgrade to 3.6? (which I need for 20D support)
Interesting.... and glad I didn't buy "pro"

So: Yes, No.

Really glad I didn't get pro!!! 8) 8) :P
But.. you'd think that the PRO owners would be a little unhappy?
Maybe after they introduced SE no one actually bought pro?

hmmmm.....
The only thing of interest to me that the Pro version has that the LE version does not have is the ability to background-process more than 20 images at a time.
For my purposes, a $350 price difference is a bit steep for that one thing.

scottes: If you are currently using SE Phase One will offer you very attractive SE to PRO upgrade (valid until May 1st 2005). (taken from phaseone website) so its not a free upgrade
looked at the phaseone website for the LE version.
phaseone are bl**dy thiefs. LE version is $99 or 99euro.
looking at the exchange rate on xe.net $99 is only 76euro. and i have to pay 25% VAT ontop cause i live in europ. i was thinking og using phase one LE with my canon 20D once the new version is out, but looking at the rip off i wont support them with me money.

I'll upgrade to 3.6 (I use C1 LE 3.5.X) but I don't think I'll upgrade to C1 Pro anytime soon. I just purchased Bibble 4.0 Pro for a lot less money and will probably stnadardize on it.
Thanks for the info.
