Nashville Symphony Center - B&W. Please critique

How do you think these two shots look with the black and white conversion. Is it too strong of an effect or does it work for you? The blur in the 2nd picture is from the banners blowing in the wind on the long exposure. I don't think it subtracts too much from the image.

The conversion is all subjective really. I like the second shot better, the first shot just looks too underexposed to me. Of course, this might be the look you were going for?

I was just going for a dark/moody feel to the place. It's still pretty new and as such doesn't have any interesting weathering or anything like that.
