S60/S70 owners,
Regarding the sliding door (lens cover, on/off) -- the one on my S70 is loose enough that if I'm not careful, it slides over the latch upon opening, and over the opposite latch upon closing. I get accidental power downs when the door is open.
Anyone else having this problem?
Thx,
kako

Hi,
Yes, I have this problem. Did you find any way to fix it? It is very frustrating.

I went from an S50 to an S70. Occasionally my S50 cover would move and power off, at the worst possible moment. I missed a few pretty good shots. My S70 does it even more. I simply have a piece of gaffers tape on my camera and when I need to be absolutely sure it stays open I tape it. I tape it over the cover, of course, and around the entire side. I cut, or tear, a notch for the lanyard ring. It actually helps me grip the camera better. I added a piece of tape on the back where my thumb grips, that helps me hold it better too.
Gaffers tape is great. It doesn't leave residue on the camera.

Never had any problem whatsoever with my S70.
My S60 was DOA. (Wouldn't recognize CF card.)
