For those of you with Membership Rewards points...
I was trying to figure out how to get better pictures... given that my skills aren't getting any better, I figured better equipment could help :-)
So... in another fit of genius... I found that Amex has this thing called "shopAmex" where you can use your membership rewards points to buy junk... of course given my propensity to do dumb things... I crawled over to the camera section... and started browsing, and hit a Canon L lens, which piqued my curiousity... and made me spend almost 4 hours on that site...
Before I was done, I got myself a bunch of filters & a Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 XR Di... (saw pretty good reviews about it)... for about 81K points... AND saw some REALLY nice lenses which I shall probably get in a few months.
