I messed with the combine zm program before, but the subject was about 4 inches long so not really macro. I shot this with a canon s3 and raynox dcr-250 macro filter. Used a chdk focus stacking script to have the camera shoot all the pics automatically. I oringally shot 14 shots from front to back, but when I put them in combine zm there was a big halo around the part of the flower that sticks out. So I deleted every other file and ran it again, seemed to work pretty good, just had to crop off the blurry border that it causes. (Edit - looks like I missed a spot on the lower left)

Any C&C or tips are appreciated.

Stacked image.

Front, middle and back shot to show the normal dof at my smallest aperture.

I think you did great for the first go. However you should crop the image more as the
Combine zm program makes fuzziness around the edges as you can see.
Crop them out next time and it will be great :D

Excellent stack - as commented you need to remove the stacking borders- clever method of taking the stack with a command focus prog.
