Hey all, I just got a 40D the other day and this is my first foray into digital photography. I used to dabble in film photography but that was a few years ago! lol I still have a lot to learn! So far I learned a lot just lurking through the forums. I was playing around with Manual mode and decided to test the spot metering for the first time. Here's my first photo post:

Lens used: Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Exposure: 1/400, f/4, ISO200

Thanks Anke! I'm still trying to figure out the different modes and when to use them best. It's still a big mystery to me! lol In this case though, I figured using spot would make sense if I'm trying to get correct exposure for the shoes and separating it from the shadows as much as possible.
