And managed to finally find some on a crape myrtle.

Some lovely bee captures :)
Try not to center the subject so much though- give the subject a bit more room in the direction it's facing so most of these would be a bit better if the subject was over to the right a bit more. Having said that I know how difficult it is to capture in focus bees let alone worry about composition as well :)

Bees are great subjects , always look good. Nice work

Looking good, but they are a little too centered and you might want to under expose them a little as well.

Bees get into some very predictable patterns, and if you watch them feed for a minute or two you can take advantage of their predictability and have the scene composed before they move into it...

So will under exposing brighten the subject? or make it darker?
