Stupid me the majority of these were taken spur of the moment during a stop to pee. . . I LEFT MY TRIPOD IN THE CAR BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO HASSEL WITH IT. Oh well these are my very first attempts at HDR, only one was taken with a tripod. can you guess which one? Critique is very much encouraged ;)

Fake lens flare is such a no-no. If you're going to use it at least put it in the right direction of the shadows.

As for the HDR, they all have blown out highlights and blocked up shadows which indicates these are actually LDRs (Low Dynamic Range). I would suggest reading up a bit on HDR so you can see what kind of situations it's actually useful for and where it will yield the results you want.

Very enlightening critique. This was my first time and I really knew nothing but I know I have a lot of work and practice to do. Thanks

I have to be honest --- not a fan of any of these. Your tone mapping is a little out-of-reality. If you are going for a water-color painting effect, maybe, but in general, I'd suggest playing with the software you are using some more to become more acquainted with it. Keep at it!

The only one that I think looks good is #4, it doesn't look good because of the HDR though, I think it would look nice as a black and white or desaturated
