Hyperfocal Distance is based on the lens, not the camera.

Here (http://www.johnhendry.com/gadget/hf.php) is a custom Hyperfocal Chart maker. At the top, under Custom, enter "0.019" for the 300D. Then click on lens lengths you have, or pick a few for zoom lenses. Then pick the apertures matching the lens(es).

For instance, for your 28-75 I would pick lengths of 28, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 72. There is no 75mm.

For Apertures, I would pick 2.8, 4.0, 5.6, 8.0, 11, 16, 22, and 32 - all the whole stops that (I think) the lens can do.

Then click Generate Chart.

Bingo. You now have a custom Hyperfocal chart for the 28-75 with the 300D. Print it and carry it with you.

cool so by puting in that .019 it makes up for the smaller sensor size and actually turns the 28 into about 45mm "35mm equvilent"?? jsut makign sure

(more or less) "Exactly!"

But for a more exact answer check out an explanation of "Circle of Confusion"
