scanning a printed image...

wondering if anyone has tried scanning an image they had printed and blowing it up further with the added scan resolution? just a thought :D

Scanning doesn't add resolution. You're far better off taking the original digital photo and upsizing it. If it's a photo from film then it's a different story with many many variables and choices. But it's far better to go back to the original slide or negative and have it upsized from that. The printing process adds a couple steps that you don't want to scan - always go back to the original and upsize that somehow.
