is it worth it? Lens+body for cheap?

I'm looking at buying a new (used) lens. Came across a Rebel (300D) with a Tamron 28-75 f2.8 for just under $400 shipped. I don't really need the body so I was thinking I could sell it and keep the lens. How much is a 300D body worth these days, $200? I know the lens is worth around $300+ or at least the prices Ive seen lately.

I've seen the 300D go for around $200 on photo.net, like you said, but the 28-75 sells for closer to $275 here on the boards.

I'd rather buy the lens off someone here anyways, I asked the seller for sample pics but he didnt' give me any. Oh well, I'll come across a deal sooner or later. If anyone has a Tammy 28-75, sigma 24-60 or 24-70 f/2.8 for cheap let me know!
