It is amazing to me how many photography gear for sale ads there are that have bad photos of the item being sold. Think about it for a minute, we're dealing with photographers here. People who do this as a hobby, or more. Why on earth would they take a crappy snap-shot of the item they're selling?
OOF, poorly lit? If the image is OOF, and you ask them if the lens is sharp and they say "yes", do you believe them?
I guess I can see it more if the item for sale is a camera body since you can't use the item and photograph it at the same time, but with things like lenses (most of us have more than 1) and accessories that excuse doesn't hold.
I just don't get it.
