In Alberta where I live we are currently shooting in -5 and -15 to -20 is normal. Can anyone suggest a good glove that will still allow for some manueverability, but provide warmth? Thanks for your time.

Get a pair of "Hunters Mitts". See the below. Work like a charm

You might also want to pick up a pair of very thin silk gloves to go under them. I once watched a guy using mitts like this at the range. He was fiddling with his scope, took a sip of coffe, and promptly managed to freeze his fingertip to the barrel of his rifle. He had to fire a couple rounds to heat up the barrel so he could unfreeze his finger.

We, of course, were laughing like hell.

Is it wise to laugh at a man that has his hand firmly attached to the barrel of his rifle? Let alone a man that knows you are laughing at him?
I wish I could have been there......right up my humor alley!

By the way. I have a pair of the flap style mits. I found them to be very warm, but always in the way. I have opted to try some dirtbiking gloves. They are very low profile and have come recommend by some fellow shooters. I'll let you all know how they work.
