O.K., I've took some 4200 shots with my 10D, and the other day I inserted my friend's CF card. All the sudden, my 10D thinks that it did 7300 shots. Does anybody know how can I roll back the frame counter :?:
Thanks!

That is very very odd. Atleast I have never heard of that issue.
It's not possible to roll back, but you can reset.

Sorry for the lack of help........

There is a way to rollback back the numbers. See my response to this post

...its not odd at all. Doom has it correct. The same thing happened to me when I sold my 300D and got my 10D on the same day...I put the old rebel card into my 10D and suddenly I had a new camera with 3500 shots on it.

All you have to do is:
1. format the card in your computer and then

2. put it back into your camera, format again, take one shot.

3. Put the card back into computer and manually rename the shot you took with the file # that you want it to be.

4. Reset the counter in your camera, and return the counter to 'continuous.'

5. then put the card back into the camera and take a shot. The camera should start counting again with whatever file # you re-named the file when the card was in your computer.

Good luck.
