Inspired by the few recent posts, the lightbulb, the coca-cola, etc... Out of curiosity, what if we decide on a simple topic, (something we can all find easily around the house), then we all photograph it, in our own ways, and see how everyone else sees and how they do it. I don't know if it was done before, and as of yet can't think of a good subject just yet, (perhaps a jar of q-tips?). I don't know if it is a good idea, but maybe someone out there, who could think of something more intersting, wants to give it a go? Would that be intersting? I was just curious. I will follow through with the photographs, if somone wants to suggest something. I will follow through with the q-tip idea, if anyone wants to go along with that.

Hope people want to play...
Cheers,

Edit: I forgot I wasn't in the competitions games thread... Anyone know how to move it??

OOOH! I love the crayons idea... I will give that a try... Ummm... the qtips idea was just an example of an idea, but when I tried it I got uninspired by it... I really like the crayons Idea. Thanks for that... I will get to work... I guess we can go with Crayons.

Have fun! I know I will...

Ok so here is what I got... I got a few of them... one of my setups almost came down... I included that pic too... hope you all want to play! I'd love to see other's results... PS. I don't have all the nifty lighting I wish I had... lots of PP. Also I never posted so many before so I kept the pic size a little small...

Great Flo, hope you play...
Monty... I love the single crayon idea, and I am jealous you had new ones to work with. The shadow play is cool too... didn't think of that. In a way it may have popped more if the table was the same color of the background... but we do what we can do eh? what did you think of mine? I don't have much of setup props to photograph in, so I did a lot of stuff in photoshop, which admittedly I need to learn so much more.

Of course I had to go out and buy crayons for this. As I was leaving work tonight, a co worker asked me "umm...are those crayons?" I said "yeah"...she just looked at me and walked away....lol!

Anywho..here's my go at it so far. Perhaps I shouldn't take pics and mess with them at 2am?

LOL I loved your crayon story... glad you played. I love your idea... It looks like the pics they put on the back of the crayola box. Nice crayonny feel. Did you do the marks with the crayons themselves? I like it alot. Don't worry, I added the crayon styled rainbow in my third shot too.

Cait.

Thanks Caitlyn. My original thought was to have the colors coming out of the shadows of the crayons themselves. But then when I started processing, I got this idea.

Glad you like it.

Sounds like a pretty cool idea. How will it work though? I'm guessing like speed challenge but with easy, but specific objects where the winner sets the next theme etc? Will be interesting to see what everyone comes up with :-)

....find the bunny in the clouds kinda thing ;-)
