Here are several I took at Bristol Motor Speedway this year. My company sent me for Dale Jarrett's last race. My first time at a race, and I wasn't sure what to expect, so I just took some shots for fun. CC pls.

I like #5, did you use a polarization filter on it? Or how did you get the effect?

Thanks... I used a Sigma 10-20 with a normal UV filter on it. What made it work was in Photoshop. I increased the contrast in the sky using curves and dodging and burning. That brought out the shape of the light rays more.

Oh yeah, how did I miss that?? I guess too many pictures to choose from... He seemed like a really nice guy, by the way. You could tell he cared a lot about the history of racing, where the sport came from and everything.

I like 2 and 5, although I wish 2 would be able to fit in the whole track. I know you were at your limit of focal length though so you did good with what you had. Good pics, great race to go to also.

Awesome capture in the last one to show the story! Great job, and you said this was your 1st race?!?

Thanks, yeah, it was my first race. I wasn't sure I'd really enjoy it, but we had a lot of fun.
