New to Canon & this site

Hi there,

I just bought the EOS 300D yesterday, not had a chance to test it yet.
I am from Hampshire in the UK, 37 years old, married.
My first digital camera is the Fuji S5000, decided to upgrade yesterday to the EOS. Just thought I would introduce myself to one and all here.

Actually, this is a truly internation group. You'll see people from just about every quadrant of the globe. One word of caution, however. It is addictive.

Although Canonites from both sides of the pond are here, we really don't hear much from those from Outer Mongolia. Central Asia, in general, is poorly represented. The ones in Iceland keep a pretty low profile. Sub-Saharan Africa must be sleeping.

Aussies and Kiwis pop up here, and Latin Americans do too.

Still did not manage to get out & about today, bought a new printer and have been setting that up and testing a few pics on it, so hopefully I will get out and try this new baby of mine, thanks again for the welcome!

“L fever” is a highly contagious, bank balance debilitating disease which is endemic in these forums. You chances of remaining infection free are frankly quite low. Insolvency beckons. ;)

"L" (meaning "Luxury") is the designation that Canon puts on its high end, professional lenses. They're (mostly) rather expensive and (mostly) rather good.

Town called Yateley up on the Berkshire/Surrey/Hampshire border.
