Has anyone used the RS-80N3 Replacement remote from ProCameraGear (POTN version)? And if so were there any problems?
The reason I ask is that I'm on the edge of just calling the money a loss and purchasing an "official" remote. The first one worked properly for about a week (<50 pictures), then it would only tell the camera to zoom with a half push and it stopped activating the shutter altogether. Now I received the replacement today and it worked fine for four or five pictures, zooming with half push, activating the shutter with a full click. Now with a half push it zooms and as soon as the camera beeps the shutter goes, so there is no way to make sure the focus is right. Half-press to focus and if it focuses incorrectly it doesn't care because it's going to go right ahead and take the picture even though I didn't tell it to.
