I don't know if I should buy Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for $150 or Adobe Photoshop CS 8.0 Image Editing Software Upgrade for Windows for $155. ($500+ is out of the question for Adobe Photoshop CS 8.0, Image Editing Software for Windows.) I could also wait until I buy a digital rebel which comes with Adobe Photoshop 2.0. I will be using it mostly to edit wildlife picture, but I will also edit pictures of family and friends.
Thanks.

You might want to look at PS Elements 3.0. It now handles RAW images and will do just about 90% of anything you're ever likely to want to do with PS CS (8.0).
At $99, it's not a bargain.....it's a gift from Adobe.

Well, the PSCS upgrade for $155 is not going to do you any good unless you have a previous version of Photoshop.
That Photoshop 7 for $150, is that also an upgrade or is it the full version? I'm thinking it's just an upgrade and if it is, then it also won't be of any good to you unless you have a previous version of PS.
As others have pointed out, PS Elements 3.0 might be your best bet.

Thanks for all your help.
Is 3.0 a lot better than 2.0? When I get a digital rebel I get photoshop 2.0 for free. Should I just wait and get that or buy photoshop 3.0?
Thanks.
