Hi,
I have this problem with my camera that it does not display under "My Computer" as a drive. It works just fine, i can download/upload images using the software that came with my camera but i cant browse the camera using Windows Explorer. Does anyone know how could i access my camera via explorer? How to make it appear under "My Computer" ? Any patch?
OS: Windows 2000, Service Pack 4
Camera: Canon Powershot a400

Don't know if this works with the Powershot A400, but on other Canon cameras you can set the communication mode in the menu to "Normal" or "PTP".

If you want your camera to show up as a drive in Windows, set it to "PTP" (Picture Transfer Protocol). In "Normal" mode, you can only access it by using the Canon software that you got with your camera.

I see, where could i choose that? From the camera or somewhere from inside the software programs? Because this does not seem to be on the camera menus...

If it's not on the camera menus you don't have it.

Sure that this is not a poblem of windows 2000? Sure that it is my camera that does not support this option to display as a drive under my computer?

I don't know about the Powershot A400, but on other Canon cameras it's an option in the menu of the camera.

It's probably not a Windows 2000 problem.

Why don't you look it up in the manual of your camera?
