I would like to see some pictures using this lens or speak to someone that uses or has used it. I am currently using a 300D and finding the need for a good wide angle lens. Am I on the right path? I am accepting to suggestions.

Sigma AF 1.8 20mm EX 1.91 (2) = poor
Of course they don't show any proof.. and I have no experience with the lens myself, but this site seems pretty accurate on most of their information..

If you dig a bit deeper on Photozone you will find results for the Sigma 20 which rate it up there with the best. Nothing like being consistent.
There is a distinct shortage of choice with regards 20mm for Canon mount and the Sigma is easily the best unless you opt for a Zeiss 21 and get an adapter ring.

Popular Photography gives it a pretty good writeup. I had the lens for a period of time, and its a sharp lens when stopped down about 2/3 stop or so. From f/4 or smaller, its very sharp. Distortion is low.
Wide open, its a little soft, but there are no other 20 mm lenses that offer f/1.8 for a reasonable price. None!
Here's a shot at f/2.0, 1/20 second:

and another outdoors at f/2.8, 1/2000:

Here is a place you can look at a number of photos taken with this lens so you can see for yourself.
