Hello,

Just to make things simple, I am new into building my own equipment and need help. Because college is expensive, little money is left for photo gear. Here is my question: I would like to add to my Canon Off Camera Shoe Cord a mini jack so I can have my 580EX mounted to my camera but right next to it a Pocket Wizard, how do go about it? What kind of cord do I need? When I take apart the of camera shoe, I see five little cords. To which of those cords would I have to conect the mini jack? Thanks a lot.

dont really understand what your trying to do.
if you have the pw then just trigger the 580 without the cord.

but look at this, have no idea if it will help but....

The two leads the PW would want to get a signal from are the one to the large center contact and to the metal sides of the shoe. The 4 small pins are used to carry the E-TTL, etc. control signals back and forth.

If I only want the middle pin, which is this case would be blue, do you know how do I connect the new cord to it? Do I strip it from the blue shell and just connect it or should I attach it to the top of the middle big pic?
