Was up at VIR this past Monday taking pictures for the Ferrari Club of America, their southeast region. It pretty much rained for the whole day and practically had a very slick track. Enjoy the pictures.

Nice cars and great shots!

Though, I would probably use a slower shutter speed, slow enough to stop the car but not the action. To me, it kinda looks like the cars are in park. But I'm not expert. :lol:

pics are clear but however you used too high of shutter speed so the pictures don't "show" motion...maybe next time (or next event) use lower shutter speed. Try using "TV" mode if your camera has it, requires more panning and (when you hit the shutter, keep panning until its done) skills but its more rewarding once you get it right and show motion.

yeah, I have a number of 1/500 and slower shutter speeds. I guess I failed to post those up instead. :p But all these shots are handheld of the 300. I need to get a monopod.


First time to capture cars as I've mainly done motorcycles. Most of these shots are full frame with little cropping. I actually had to back up a bit because I was too close to the track at places. Don't need the extra length as I thought in some places.
