So i'm wondering how many of you have run into this problem.

you look at a shot you took of a lady and a kid. It looks great at first, but then later you go back and really look at it. maybe do some editing, just to find out that part of her breast is out. So now you just can't use the image for anything.

This just happened to me. It bugs me becuase it would of been a great shot of the two of them, but now I can't use it.

So why can't you use Photoshop to fix it? :?

Yes, I've had a few problems overall like that. What it has taught me to do is no matter how simple the shot is check everything from the camera settings to the composition of the shot. Hate it when you get that perfect phot and then see multiple flaws that could have been fixed before the shoot.

Yup, been there.... took a bunch of shots at a fashion show and one of the best shots IMO you could see the models' underwear.... not necessarely inappropriate (most likely though), but still. I was pissed.

It is so rare that you hear guys complaining about accidental nudity or underwear shots, that I think this deserves a moment of reflection.

LOL
Not complaining about capturing it :P , only about the inability to share it.

It is very easy to take a picture and not notice bits and pieces that you would enjoy seeing otherwise. I am trying to get a great facial expression in my shot as my highest priority, my secondary priority is the body position and clothing. I had previously set up the costumes and props. So the last thing on my mind is looking at anything other then the face with the body in my perifery vision. I have been know to take several shots and then finally rechecking my focus and exposure I will notice things, like the model has no panties on under the too short dress and we have agreed to topless only for the sesssion (and not even that planned for this set). On the good side they were horrible shots anyway.

I try to have my girlfriend present whenever possible when doing a paid shoot since she provides very good continuity check. I, concentrating on face and body tend to miss things like the necklace that has creeped up or the clothes pin used to hold the dress on peeking around the corner.

I do usually catch bad hair that sticks out, but anything below the neckline is usually accidental when I catch it (unless real obvious).

This is why I take about an average of 150 pictures per hour during a model session, so I get 6-8 good shots. If I was doing pure portraits, I would just check everything once and get it perfect on the first try, but since I am trying to convey life, it is much harder to catch everything in that few moments that the best shots happen.

In clonclusion, Timbits, you are not the only one who has had these little problems and Yes vfilby, we GUYS can concentrate on other things at least long enough to take the picture. After we take the picture then we can oogle over it. 8)
