I was going through some "old" photos, and thought I'd post these. These were taken this past Dec-Jan. I didn't have my 30D on me at the time, so these are all taken using my Sony.

The architecture in Savannah is absolutely stunning. I'll definitely bring my 30D with me next time I go there.

If anyone is planning on going to Savannah (and you should), make sure you give yourself plenty of time to just walk around and shot. I had gone on the trip with my family. Unfortunately the pace of the trip made it hard to take my time shooting. I really think every one of my family members should have had a camera in their hand during the trip, because a camera really makes one slowdown, and enjoy and become more aware of their surroundings. Sorry for the speech, lol, here's the photos:

Excellent! My wife and I were there in March. I got some similar shots, but they just don't compare. Yes, be prepared to walk. Parking is at a premium.

I like all of them but the watermark was terribly distracting.

They are there for a reason, no sense complaining about them. You'll learn to look past them. I didn't even notice them until I read your post.

Beautiful buildings. I read others mention the Savannah and it's architecture.

Pics #2 and 3 could use some perspective correction.

Brilliant clarity! I'm still only dreaming about achieving that....
Enjoyed all of them, but prefer #7 over #8, more true to your style.

Yes, some will look right past them.

I used to think I had to have a monster watermark on my shots, keep it subtle.

These all suffer from tilted perspective and #6 is the strongest one for me.

A gracious old southern city I had the pleasure of visiting Enjoyed seeing the Cotton Exchange again. Sorry I'm in the no big watermark camp too.

Thanks for the responses everyone. :)

Sorry about the watermarks...but they're staying. ;)
I think some of the watermarks could've been toned down a little, but anyone can search these forums....and today in our society of instant gratification, people don't seem to understand/respect copyrights, e.g. music, photos, etc.

By the way, how do you correct the perspective in photoshop?

In addition to correcting the perspect, I'd crop the road out of #1 (not sure it adds anything) and I'd clone out the cones; and in general, I think the bright sky renders the buildings slightly dull.
You can correct perspective via the 'Filter - Distort - Lens Correction' selection. Just play around to get the hang of it.

Very nice series. I like the first shot with its symmetry. I'd like to see it not too closely cropped though. Thanks for sharing!
