So finally upgraded to the CS version and just love it!!!
One question though:
I shoot all JPEG - and when I used to edit all my files on the 7 version, the undeited files will have two black lines on the top and bottom of the thumbnail when viewed through the file browser...........this is not the case with the CS version............
........what do I do??

What do you want - you want the black lines back....? Why?
You can "tag" images in PS CS's file browser, which may be useful to distinguish between files.
I prefer myself to store my original, unedited files in a separate "originals" folder - I save the edited versions somewhere else.

..........I never keep my originals :? All my originals are edited......lack of hard drive space etc..........
In any case, I've tried flagging my images.............but its too cumbersome. It's easier to just open the file browser and know which jpegs are edited and which are not.
.............though keeping a back-up of the originals are a really good idea.

Can't you simply save the "edited" jpg's in a new folder called "edited"?

:? .....okay.........you're probably gonna think I'm really slow........but I am not really that fast when it comes to computer....... :p
So........to do that............do I (SAVE or SAVE AS??)............and then how do I pick the target folder?? :? :?

ALWAYS leave your originals...original!
SAVE will overwrite your original without any prompting.
SAVE AS will allow you to overwrite if you want to, but you can also save your image anywhere you want.
Get in the habit of using SAVE AS so you wont kick yourself for turning your big file into a website size image! (Doh!!)

Why not burn the originals to a CD? Then, when you have more originals, burn them + the edited pics from the first session. Now you have redundant files on 2 different CDs just to be safe.
