The 1D-II had no rebate, but it does qualify towards the multiple rebates on other items. Still, a good price regardless.

Dell also has the 1D MK II for $3800 seem that the price is falling on this camera.

Interesting - I got mine from Onecall.com for just over 4K. It was an excellent price when everybody else was selling at $4400 to 4500.
If the trend continues, that can only mean one thing - replacement is on the way. Canon doesn't drop price much until a month or two before a new model is due. Unless - competitive pressures are at play here. Who's competing with the 1D-2?

Nope. That's a studio camera. the MKII is a PJ/Sports camera and no, a replacement will not be expected for at least a year. The 1Ds also dropped a few hundred dollars a few months after its debut. That's pretty much the norm for the ultra-expensive, 1D-series cameras.
