today was the first sunny evening we have had since last thursday, and i think i used the rainy weather of this past week to my advantage. tell me what you think, all i have done thus far is a little sharpen and a warming filter. any advice, critique, or comments are more than welcome!

You still look like my cousin, but you're definitely a better photographer. Loads of potential there - well spotted. The colour looks great. So, suggestions: I'm not sure if the edge of the building was just to the left of the door, but compositionally I would like to see the door further to the right. The left of the picture's nicely vertical, but it's sloping a bit on the right... might use some perspective correction post-processing, but I'm tending to think that angling across the building hasn't helped the picture, and that a simpler composition perpendicular to the wall might have worked better. Also wondering if it may have been better to have a strip of dirt visible at the bottom of the picture, beneath the reflection...? Cheers, Tony

It's nice but I think it needs something.... If you do it again, experiment, maybe throw a pebble into the water before shooting, or someone/something walking into or out if the frame on the right.

Nice.

Improvements to the composition if you moved the door a little more distance from the edge. Maybe this is not possible, but it would help. Also, crop down to remove the two white areas on the mustard wall. Tearing down the downspout would help as well :)

All in all, a nice image.

Thanks for the help! TonyDee, your cousin shoukd go into modeling i bet he's so handsome lol! the door was at the far edge of the building, and it was the only door with a puddle in front of it, but i kind of like how it's at the far edge, sorta gives the frame more of a story. i didn't realize until i got this home that i wasn't perpindicular, and when i went out there this morning most of the water had evaporated, and anytime i just try and rotate the picture i can't get the door or downspout square. i didnt even see those two spots Gary! haha thanks, i swear i'm going blind. here is what i did with a crop, and i also decided to expeirment with desaturating the door a bit, i think it gives the image more of a pop. thanks all!
