Shot under available light at ISO 3200 so they're a tad noisy.

Look darned good to me !! The dark shadow in # 2 looks pretty clear. Did you run noise reduction?

Not on these as the noise reduction software I have stinks. I used levels to lighten them up a tad then use the dodge tool to darken shadows and blacks so they don't look too terribly noisy.

First is nice.
Second looks a bit too contrasty IMO.
