do you mean 1.4?? 7 on top of the 4 nevermind.

Ya the 1.4 is good, very little quality loss.

Are you sure you are not looking at the 1.7x extender they make to screw on to the front of a Canon camcorder?

Sorry wrong information. I call my camera supplier to order Canon 1.4X but he told me that 1.7X is arrived. He made a misstake because he through I am buying extender for my F5.
