These two are some of our best friends. If I still did weddings this is and was my style.

Im shooting a wedding for a friend in June - first time! I would be interested in knowing some of your technique, equipment, settings, etc. Ive got a great eye for stuff, just not too good with the camera yet :(

Heres the gear I shot this wedding with.

2 5Ds
24 1.4L, 35 1.4L and 85 1.2L 580 Ex quantum 1 batteries.

I like to use available light whenever possible and when its not possible I always try and make it look like its available light. The isle shots at the church are the only shots posted that I used strobe. Ambient metered 1 stop under strobe and I have a large homemade white reflector for the strobe.

I like to keep things as simple as possible.

I like them. Good shots! I think the shot in the car would look great in B&W.

I had (almost) forgotten how exhausting physicically and mentally shooting a wedding is. Man I was move'n slow all day yesterday. Corporate stuff is SO MUCH less demanding physically, maybe more mentally demanding though..

Beautiful clarity and focus. Main thing is I see some green color cast and one or two warm/yellow casts. I am sure green is from nasty florescent lighting, no doubt!

Don't see it on my system...

Very nice...truly wonderful shots.
The groom looks like Al Pacino (in Serpico).

The fluorescent light can be a pain.
I found that if I go with fluorescent safe shutter speed (1/60 1/125 1/30)

Thanks, I work in fluorescent allot. The brides father (bathroom) was the only light the rest were tungsten and diffused sun natural

I don't see a green/cyan cast on my monitor...

Portraits of B & G "Close-ups" are great! The look double lit. Is that the case or did you PP?

Nice images. Correct the color on #7 and make it lighter. Add diffuse glow and vignette the edges and it's a winner

my general comment is that the skin tones are so not vivid, are u posting sRGB or RGB photos (note that of us can't see the correct colors in RGB)
I LOVE NO 5 (still need to work on the skin tones)
no. 3 you focused on the earing (always focus on the eye)
no. 4 i don't like the composition at all

All very excellent images... Even the little things like the positioning of her shoes as a foreground element leading to the OOF dress... Very nice touch.

Great job, why no more weddings?
