Went to the lake with mom and stepdad yesterday and she got a chance to ride in the fastest boat on the water that day. GPS'd this run at 142.

Here are a few more from the day.

Stepdads boat (gps'd so far @ 98mph, naturally aspirated):

Your mom might have spread smile on her face at 225km/h :D
where are helmets? Crazy game ;)
does engines run alcohol? 15 years old top fuel(or TA) engines bolted on lightweight boat :D

Good photos, the first two specially.

I must add, I would never like to see your mother angry. A 140mph slap can cause severe to permanent tissue and bone damage. ;)

I did try to make my own boat once, with a modified leaf blower I had gotten at Lowe's, but it just wasn't the same. There was something heroic, however, about a man sinking in his own ship.

the boat in the first pic is running basically an NHRA top alcohol motor. it has been clocked at 170mph on good water.

Cool photos. I cant imagine going that fast on water, 40mph feels like your flying! lol

My dad has a boat similiar, it is only rated at 85, 140 is insane.

I am afraid at those speeds, the helmets are just a form of decoration. ;)
