Yeah the colour works. Maybe not as good as black on yellow or brown on green - but still good!

Nice shot! I like the color of the fly and background, it's a nice blend of the spectrum.

i think the BG provides good contrast to the subject. you get good detail and good DOF with that macro lens. it must be nice to get that detail without stacking. :cool:
