Hello all.
I am looking to purchase a D-60 as my first
digital camera.
I shoot alot of football and other NIGHT events.
Does anyone know how well the D60 works
in low-light conditions...say at 800 asa with a F2.8?

I plan on shooting ALOT and would like to be able to
NOT have to shoot in raw mode to correct each
photo for 'pushing'.

Any comments from anyone who has one?!?!

IMHO

I can't comment for D60, but based on D30, if you are going to use JPEG, don't bother with buying DSLR. Compression even on large/fine is too high. If you mean 'color correcting', you can color correct (re white-balance) the jpeg photo with Photoshop plugin ICorrect pro, which is also available as a standalone application. Only problem I see with the low-light shooting is auto focus. Sometimes it wont :).

Cheers,

I just purchased a 135/2.0 mostly for HS winter indoor sports. The performance of this lens is remarkable and I get some very useable shots that I could not even get using my 70-200/2.8. I would say to rent or borrow one of these ultra fast primes and judge for yourself. Also the 200/1.8 is the holy grail for catching sports in poor lighting conditions but VERY expensive.
