#2 and #6 are my favorites.

I gotta know though, how much do those wheels weigh? half as much as the whole car?? :p

Nice! Now yank out the weak 4 cylinder and drop in american muscle. Go Cobra on it. http://www.monstermiata.com/Admin/FTPSite/CarPhotos/Ken%20H%20engine%20comp3.jpg

How did you not get a reflection in picture #3, I'm still trying to figure this out.

thats how i roll. LOW and slow because otherwise more stuff will break, you have to know roads like the back of your hand while cruising like that.

its so awesome tho! I cant wait till i can lower my civic and camber out the wheels and put a ridiculous set along the lines of these on it...

nice shots. Watch the sky in #5 since there is a big fiber on your sensor :S

Nice series...but: What's with the extreme camber in the rear wheels?

Wow, is there any suspension travel in that at all or are you riding on the bumpstops?

i really like the last shot but you need to find better looking background locations. props to peter for doing something different. i wonder how it performs in auto-x?

taken far away with a zoom lens?

to be able to fit wider rims in the back. also notice the stretched tires.

that's a nice set of photos. however it looks like there is a dent in the back just behind the back wheel

I would recommend cloning it out even if it's not. it's the first thing that my eye saw and it distracts from the photo

apart from that it's a good looking photo.

Thanks for the comments guys! We're definitely doing a shoot of the car with a proper location when the car gets repainted and all fixed up. I'll repost when we go take those shots. I'm truly excited!

Another thing I noticed, when shooting a drop top, if the tops down, so should the windows. Looks like you left the pass side window up in a few of them.

I love the angles you chose in 1 2 6 and 7, great shots. Like posted before, I'd rethink the locations for next time. Get this car a better setting and it'll surely pop!

I think that would be classified under "battle scars!"

And I highly doubt this car would be in any auto-x, that one was funny:lol:

why oh why would you do any of this? it makes driving hard, (anything that makes a car handle or drive worse should be tossed) and why the static drop? a car that low without bags is a terrible idea!

and oh, you realize camber is a bitch on tires and suspension?

of course i know the consequences! i'm not some newb at lowering cars.

its just something i'd rather do than deal with go-fast stuff. i dont need all that while i'm putting around from point A to point B (back and forth a couple miles from my apt. to school). I'm a cautious drive and know the roads that i travel like the back of my hand, and know not to drive like an *******...

to each his own though...different styles for different people.

Nice series...but: What's with the extreme camber in the rear wheels?

Yeah I was about to say the same thing. He could be have it at that extreme of camber for the turns, but really you don't need that much.

vr6pwns_me
19th of April 2008 (Sat), 20:08
it needs that camber to be able to fit the wide wheels + stretched tires!!!

Ok, I got it, not very practical, but makes for an impressive pic. ;)

vr6pwns_me

of course its not "practical" people who do this 1) know what they're doing and can afford the consequences, and 2) wanna do it to be able to pull it off because no one else will.

its a little better in the sense the miata is RWD, and when we do this type of stuff on VW's and other FWD cars its pointless of course, but i'm not racing my little stock single cam honda around town or anything, i like putting around getting my 35+ mpg haha
