Help! Can't open RAW files with Photoshop CS??

Hello all,

I just got my copy of Photoshop CS and for some reason I can't open RAW files. When using the browser, only JPEGs show. When opening a RAW file through PS it says " could not complete because it is not the right type of document"?? :x

Do you have the 2.3 version of ACR? Check Adobe's site.

What kind of camera? You need 2.3 for 20D (and maybe MkII?).

Did you choose to install the RAW converter? It's been so long that I don't remember if you have a choice.

Like Scottes says, you have to update the version of Adobe Camera Raw that you got with Photoshop. Go to the following page and follow the instructions to download and install Camera Raw version 2.3.

Note that the 20D is not officially supported yet, but nevertheless it works with Camera Raw version 2.3.
