Think this wolf spider just about managed a smile. Taken at 3:1 in a dwarf conifer

Excellent shot!
(I think it is a peace of the conifer in front to the left...)
It looks like he/she is on the way to the shop carriyng the green bag in one 'hand' :)
What was the set up (and f/T) used for this shot?

Nice one! I'm still waiting to photography my first. I only ever find them scurrying about the undergrowth to quick for me to get 'em. As least for now mwahahaha

Thanks for the comments everybody :)
Tunedbeat- certainly was not dead.
Paul - I find them sunbathing and just approach them very carefully - even if you disturb them if you wait in position they will often re-appear after a min or two.

Sorry, his legs look curled up. So, I assumed he was dead, or maybe just groomin' himself.

LordV - I'd luv it if you could get a similar shot of one of our Funnel Web spiders. :) They are a bit dangerous though...
Awesome photo.

Hiya Brian,
An excellent portrait shot, I know I've said this before but these Wolfies remind me of ZZTop to look at.
Cheers for now
