It is the first time that I have tried a complete project except for my continuing obsession with the frogs in my pond. This project is something that I have not tried before so I was hoping for any comments on the project as a whole and any tips

Since no one else replyed I'll give this a shot.
First off, when posting in the critics corner it's best to post not more than a few images. It is hard to respond to an entire gallery of photos.
after browsing your gallery i think you have the buds for a some good photos. What are you trying to get across with your photos? You have a few good ones that show patterns of apartment buildings and others that look like they come from a real estate guide.
Editing means getting rid of all but the most exciting and meaningfull photos. That's what's great about digital; it doesn't cost anything to experiment. Your gallery looks like a bunch of experimental photos. Take out all but your favorite one.
I average about one displayable photo for every two hundred I take.

Thanks for your reply RbnDave,
I thought that I would get the comment of to many photos but because of the nature of the project decided to risk it this time.
The project is an experiment, taking your comments on board I will keep taking photos and sort the ones I have, and see how things develop.

The project is an experiment
I loved all these shots when I saw them last week Colin
I even replied but have not a clue what I done
( I must have hit the x on top of the page)
then I left it
:(
but as I liked them so much I am repeating the post
just wanted to say also
as 'flats' are called 'apartments' in other countries some will not know that's what you were meaning in the subject title.
not that that makes a lot of difference when one sees the pictures.
we used to call them 'flats' over here also
:?
I love the idea of your pictures
and especially loved these (showing the numbers) and the angles you took

Thanks marie for your encouraging comments.
It’s quite funny really that there could be quite a few viewers wondering why flats. :?
I am continuing the project and as we go in to the winter, the trees have become leafless skeletons. At the time I can be in the area of the flats the evening is drawing in now and lighting is adding another dimension. I will add some more to the gallery soon to so you can see how things are working out.
