For those who have Photoshop, do you load any of the software that is included with your 20D?

I loaded it all and plan on unloading it very soon. If you have and use Photoshop CS (or the new Elements 3) then it'll do everything that the Canon software will, but it'll be integrated and seemless.

But the Canon software that WAS very useful was ZoomBrowser. It could download EVERYTHING on a CF card while ignoring the 99 shot sub folders. But Canon has decided to "improve" their software and not let the old ZoomBrowser "see" .cr2 RAW files. The process of getting images from card to computer used to be one very easy step and now it's a lot more complicated. I can only assume that Canon doesn't actually let photographers who need to use this stuff talk to the software developers 'cause it sure sucks.

To use their new software to download files is no easier than using the file manager in My Computer and that what I've been doing.

I swear if Canon cameras were as good as their software I'd still have Nikon!

I think that you would at least want to install EVU so that you can plug you camera to the computer and load you name into the camera. That way, your name can get written in the EXIF into that's attached to the pictures taken with the camera. You can then trash EVU if you want although, personally, I think EVU and DPP is worth keeping around just as an alternative to PSCS if you shoot RAW.
