Another one of those vitamin-laden trendy health-guilt bling water concoctions. Gimme a coke please. Mid-Manhattan.

I like this one. Lots of color, and it works well with this shot. You got the timing on the guys foot just right.

Cool shot but the slight barrel distortion bugs me.
Was it shot with the 24-105 IS ?
Im thinking of selling mine as I find it does everything but not nothing perfectly....:p

You're a fussy bugger aren't ya? ;)
I like this shot and I would almost say it could have a *touch* more saturation. Foot timing Pio.... bang on.

Love it, though I would suggest another crop.
Remove "FUZE" along the top (unnecessary and would remove that silly wire thingy)
Remove left edge to eliminate the darker area.
That's all.

I like this shot Pio.. Your sense of Urban timing is always wonderful! ..... And this one is in color!
*edit* I don't agree with the above.. Clone the wire, leave the FUZE. . . It is part of the image message..
ya might want to lose the left side a bit.

Is this one block away from b&h on 34th st?? I remember seeing this on the way to b&h on friday...
Nice timing on the feet as always! Great shot.

Not the usual magical BB capture and doesn't work for me on any level ... and for some reason irritates me. The distortion, the left hand side, the guy adds nothing other than a rule of thirds element to add some minor interest, the drink itself just another BS brand (as you say!), part of the ad text top right missing, a bit of branch or something stickin' out.

I like the image, reminds me of the subway map. Very nice job again!

I like it. The only thing I would change is crop a little on the left side so the only thing in the frame is the sign.

Hey thanks for looking and the comments all. This one deviates a bit from my usual work as it is nicely saturated. Funny about the foot timing photos, I didn't consciously go for it this time, I rather waited for the person to walk into the spot where I want him to be. The foot placement was a good bonus, but perhaps a subconscious trigger too for me.
This was taken with the 17-40 on a 20D cropper. I am surprised with the slight barrel distortion as the lens usually has rectilinear results. Perhaps it is the angle by which I took the photo - this was perspectively corrected by the way through the Transform command in Photoshop. And yes, this was taken at 34th Street, indeed a block away from B&H which was thankfully closed when I got there.
I agree about the crop ideas, especially the left side which seems incongruent as compared to the rest of the photo. Cropping it out though would render the photo out of the 3:2 ratio that I like so I left it as is. Dave I do not mind that it irritates you, I am glad that elicited a reaction! By the way Pete, the design is a take on the subway map. Good eye.
Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate them and it is a great way to improve on my photography.

It would have been interesting if the pedestrian was indeed drinking FUZE - 'the healthy way to go'. Or not.

Yes it would be interesting if he had that drink in hand. I did visit Fuze's website, and there on the first page was a link that you can click on if you want to "check out pictures of celebrities enjoying Fuze drinks". I promptly closed the window. Perhaps this pedestrian saw that site too and got a cup of joe instead.;)

Just goes to show there's no accounting for taste:oops:

I've never tasted it, RedBull or any kind of energy drink other than Vitamin Water. Not sure I could stomach it.
However, I can easily stomach this picture. No cloning out text, no barrel distortion correction. It works as is. Anyone who has been to NYC would appreciate this image as a true representation of what the city is like. Large logos everywhere.

Wow that's a coincidence Jason - I bet they use that accounting software a lot, they must be hauling in a huge chunk of cash. I was at a local Target earlier, getting my son a Lego set, and I saw they had Fuze on sale for $1.79 a bottle. I was tempted to get one, just to taste it, but thought better of it and grabbed a coke.
LOL Flo, love that play on words. You have to visit some time.

Here on the west coast this stuff is a dog. I work in the beverage industry and Fuze had been distributed by three different vendors in the last five years. If it did well it would not be let go by a vendor. Surprisingly Coke just recently picked this up and started to distribute it. It's meant to compete with Sobe, distributed by Pepsi, but Sobe by far outsells Fuze.

Interesting fact Eric, so Fuze is now a pawn in the cola wars!
Dave, definitely the healthy option, Coke is it!
