I have a 580ex II with hot shoe cord. I also have an AB400. How can I get the 580 to fire the AB without using PWs? I'm trying to use the 580 in manual mode.

Just fire the 580 on camera in manual mode, it will trip the AB400's built in optical sensor.

Thanks. It helps if you take the sync cord out of the AB.
